She won! Be happy for her! It is a car show, not a freakin race! At least she has the guts to enter a car show in the first place. Hell, Look at a lot of the concept cars that are produced, the press all out there taking pictures of the damn thing as it spins on a platform and everyone OOOHHHHS and AHHHHHSS without it ever crossing thier little mind that the thing doesent even have a goddamn engine.
Doesent change the fact it is a sick ride. Keeping the paint job looking factory fresh or better is a damn artform in itself.

A buddy of mine had a black 04 Cobra, we were gonna enter it and my black 04 GT into a car show here in denver, unfortunatly things went to sh*t and back and we diddnt make it.

Honestly, I really diddnt think my car would do very well. I wash it several times a week and wax it regularly and keep it garaged at work AND home. It has a pretty bitching deep wet shine and the silver stripes look sweet on it, For a Black GT it looks incredible, thats a hard color to maintain but it shines like none other. I just figured nobody would be interested in an 04 GT at a car show, I figured if it wasnt over 20 years old people would be all "why is that here?". After reading about this woman and her V6 getting a trophy? Hell, next time there is a car show im totally entering it. wont be able to keep me away!

Congrats on the car show! Im sure your V6 puts many of the GT's and Cobra's here to shame when it comes to appearance and general upkeep. Dont listen to them, they are just jealous because they have these deep cuts, gouges, and scratches from racing with ricers and know they cannot do a decent wax job if thier life depended on it cause thier daddys always washed thier cars and never showed em how to do it.

Keep up the good work and keep doing the car shows!

^^^^^Agreed.

I have seen stock GT's around here in car shows and yes they do win. Just because you have alot of mods done to your car doesn't guarentee you a win. Some people think that just because thier car has alot of aftermarket stuff on it that they will and should win so they don't take much time to clean the car up before the show. I've seen soooo many cars at shows that have alot of stuff done to them but no one took the time to really go over the car, wash it, wax it, and clean the interior. Cars that are heavily modded look like crap if no one took the time to clean them up and make them shine.

Yes I know my car is not heavily modded but I enjoy going to car shows and participating in them. I like the atmosphere, the people (yes some can be *** holes since I have a v6 with no power adders), and I like to see what others have done to their cars so I can get ideas for what I think may look good on mine. Slappy just because your GT is stock doesn't mean you shouldn't put it in a show. I feel that a car that is well maintained and has an owner who cares about it and takes the time to get it looking good for the show deserves to be in a show.

When I go to shows in my area I get there early because it takes me at least two hours to get it ready to be judged. Yes I wash and wax it before the show but driving down you pick up alot of bugs and road grime. I spend time making sure I get all the bugs off the exterior, clean the wheel wells and dress them and the tires. Go over the interior again and get my little space around the car set up. You shouldn't put your car in a car show if all you want to do is win because with a stock or near stock car it's not going to happen alot of the time. Do it because its something you enjoy.

I like to show my car off, I'm proud of it. No its not a GT, yes its only a v6 but its a damn good looking v6 and I love it. I have put alot of time and effort into this car and I consider it my baby. I like to share my car with other people who share the same love of cars (especially mustangs). If people don't like it thats fine, if people feel it isn't worthy of being in a car show thats fine too. Everyone has an opinion. I get alot of good and bad remarks when I enter a show but in the end I do it for me and no one else.

Just my 2 cents

I LOVE black mustangs that are well kept. I don't think I would be able to keep a black car looking that good.

Black shows swirls like nobodys business. Ive tried several types of swirl remover and have never been able to get the damn things out. So, if you know anyone who has any advise on swirl remover for black car's, im all ears.

the smallest imperfections stand out like bacons. All the maintenance and upkeep is definatly worth it though.
I've used the meguires swirl remover on my car but I don't know how well it will work on a black car. You could give it a try and see how it works for ya.
