Are you sure you have the correct wheels as those are for the V6s, I have a 98 bought brand new from dealer and I never saw a GT with those on unless the dealer swapped them out with a v6.

Those are not the same wheels as mine.
I bought my 98 new and the wheels are 17s.

If they are 17s then they are 1997 Cobra wheels which your dealer put on there.

Nope your wrong.
Look at the yellow stangs wheels see how flat the face is.
Then look at the red stangs wheels like yours.
Mr. Jay mayes told me the factory called my car a 98 1/2.
It came with 17s
All the stangs with my hood graphics had these wheels 98GT only.
Those were the tail end of the production.
My car was built 10/12/98.

Oh yeah I see now what you are talking about yours being a special model. It seems like Ford had used the wheels off a 97 Cobra which was machined and color around the spokes. Besides the graphics and mate cobra wheels what else is special about it.

I found these on ebay but they are polished if you have a hard time finding a set you could always have it painted to match your originals or just have yours refinished. There is a Boss site but I dont think that Shinoda had anything to do with your model. You should see how rare your model is and if its worth going through the trouble.

Thanks venom for the help.
My car is 1 of 375.
Another cool thing is Ford clear coated the hood stripe.
Your right its not a larry shinoda BOSS....Its Fords salute to the BOSS.
I'll keep looking for my wheels...there's got to be a set out there.
