Angry Issues with MT Service

Does anyone else on here have problems with Mustang Tuning?? Chris, I'm sorry, but MT has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I am a customer service rep myself and if I would let customers hang out there without answers the way you have me, I would have lost my job! I've emailed you, PM'd you and posted here. You've told me my ONE wheel would be shipped out in 2-3 days, you would have Wheel Replica drop ship the rim to me, and now no replies :angry4:

Just to let others know the issue. I placed an order on 4/11/05 for 2 17" 10.5' Anthracite Bullitt Wheels. DATE: 4/11/2005 ORDER #: 13579
REFERENCE #: 9286. I finally received, what I thought was my order on 4/27/05, which wasn't bad. UNITL I opened the boxes and found they had sent me 2 different rims. One was the style I ordered and one was an 18x10 Anthracite FR500 Wheel. After emailing MT to let them know of the order problem, it took 2 days for them to email me back and say they would see what they could do. I was informed that they did not have any in stock, but were getting more the next week. They proceeded to send me a UPS label so I could return the incorrect rim, which I did on 5/10/05. On 5/16/05 I was asked if it would be ok to have Wheel Replica drop ship the wheel to me, which I responded right away that that would be fine. On 5/19 I received an email saying that they had ordered the wheel from Wheel Replica earlier in the week and that they would try to get me a traking number. I HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD FROM MT SINCE!!! :mumum: I can't reach them by phone, email or private message.

What do you guys think?? I just need to be kept in the loop as to what is happening. The Mustang show I was just at, sucked knowing that I should have had my new rims on!!!! Anyone else have thoughts??

Well isn't MT a redistributor? ie they don't make all the stuff you see on their website. That being the case they are under the mercy of the original producers of the product, if they are out, MT is out.

Also im guessing you are emailing on the weekends or off hours, which is why it would take a couple of days to email you back. I doubt they are a multi million dollar corporation where they can afford to have a 24/7 call center with people sitting at their comps waiting to answer every email or pm.

I myself am still waiting for the chin spoiler that was supposed to be in last week but now is out of stock for another 4-6 weeks. It's not MT's fault CDC has run out of the chin spoilers. You could try ordering directly from the manufacturer if you want to be in the 'loop' with all the associated headaches and the higher prices.

Patience young padawan.

Have you called them? I had a issue with one of my black bullitts being bent when I received it and all I did was call and talk to Bob (who I talked to when buying) so he would know my situation and know who I was. He drop shipped me a new rim and sent me a return label to ship mine back. Got the rim and had no problems. MT is run great, they are just very busy. Try calling them Monday and see what they can do for you.

They are a small company therfore the good prices with free shipping. I move you questions to order question section but you should PM MTshambles http://www.mustangtuningforums.com/p...wpm&userid=666 and ask but sometimes its out of there hands if the manufacturer is feeding them inaccurate info. I waited about 4 weeks for my SLP but Im the patient type if Im getting a good deal on stuff.

when i was buying my line lock i send about 10 emails and called and left messages 4 times and never got any response from either, i just kept calling till i finally got somebody. then found out they dont stock alot of items on the site. I think what can cure alot of this is for them to keep the site updated as to what is in stock or special order, like under the item, put a place to click to check stock on an item, or so you can see how long it will be to get it. For the savings its worth the aggravation but if its something I need quick they are not the first place i call..

Maybe I've been lucky...I've only placed 3 orders with MT and so far I've gotten all of them within a week of placing the order even if I place it on a weekend. :dontknow:

03 Conv - I have called many different times and days and have never had someone pick up the phone! I've left messages, with no returned call. I've emailed weekdays and weekends with do difference in response. There needs to be more communication.

Stangman - I'm glad you were able to talk to someone, because I never have, as stated above.

Venom - I have only ever had one response to a PM, though I have tried.

Andy - I agree with you whole heartedly. If you check their site, the wheels I ordered back in the beginning of April say "Usually ships next business day". Hell, I would settle for within a week or two, NOT 6 weeks.

I guess the whole issue to me is communication! THERE IS NONE!!! I think they have good prices and the free shipping is great, but you need to keep the customer informed of delays. Don't get me wrong, I will continue to be a MT customer, but I will not order something that I am hoping to have in less than a month.

As I dont have your information in front of me I cant do anything about it.

I handle multiple rim drop-shipments in a day and there might be a small chance that it was sent from us but it hasnt left WR. Its a small chance, but it could happen.

Any rim that I say I will drop ship I drop ship, no questions asked. On monday ill look into this, but as far as I know the rim was drop shipped through WR. Only POSSIBLE thing that I could think of is that your address on the shipment might have been messed up, but thats the only thing I could think of, barring that I didnt drop ship it.

Which account have you sent e-mails to?

Rims sometimes take longer than a week or two just because we go through them so fast. That I have no control over, and yes, sometimes it takes a month or so to get your rims from our warehouse, just because we dont have them in stock in a certain style. The majority of rims that we order end up going right back out into the consumer world because we have backorders to fill.

This will all be resolved on Monday, for im not taking a holiday for Memorial Day.
