Default tranny problems

i just recently bought a 00 GT and modified pretty well. just about 4 days ago i installed a B&M short shifter because my buddy could get me one for $80 so i took him up on it. it was installed without putting the gaskets in and it seemed to work fine. i just figured i would check for leaks in a few days. just yesterday i couldnt go into 4th gear without in grinding and popping back into neutral. so i just skipped 5th gear all together. im hoping it just needs to be adjusted and that will fix it. Does anyone know what might be wrong with it?

when i had posted this forum i hadnt even looked at it yet. i opened everything up and found that one of the adjustment bolts was loose causing it to not be able to go all the way into fourth gear. the existing silicone was still there when it was installed and if it was soft enough i think as long as it is bolted down tightly it wont go leak. so basically all i had to do was tighten a bolt and it fixed it. thanks guys
