wasnt trying to be rude... a blower is a supercharger (superchargers blow air into the intake). like i said, do a search for supercharger... there is a lot of information on this site, the search button will be your best friend.

Turbocharger= uses exhuast gas to push the compressor wheel to pull more air into the motor, uses no power from the motor to run.
Centrifugal Supercharger= Runs off the belt from the front of the motor to turn the compressor wheel to suck more air in. but it sucks up power from the motor to turn the supercharger.
Roots style supercharger= Again runs off the belt and takes energy to turn it. but this one will replace the intake manifold setup and gives boost Right away which is nice on the street.
They all suck more air in which when added with the right amount of fuel makes a ton more power. But plan to spend on a new kit atleast $3,600 if you install it yourself.

I gotta give the guy a little respect for knowing what he doesn't know and coming to the right place to learn it. So what if he's not uber-smart about engines and mods and whatnot. At least he's asking questions and not posing like he's a mod god.

I'd recommend the ATI Procharger(supercharger) P-1SC. www.procharger.com
I installed it myself. Never done it before, and it came out great. Only attempt if you have basic to medium knowledge of cars. Best price I found on this was from Sean Hyland Motorsports. With the charger and the fuel injectors, it ran me $3849.00 Yes you'll need upgraded fuel injectors. 42# injectors. Some say you need to upgrade fuel pump, but I left the stock one in. Also you'll need a Mass aire flow meter calibrated to 42# injectors. I went with a Pro-M Blow thru. 99 lightning mass air meter is also recommended with this particualr setup. I bascially researched for weeks to decide what to get. I even called and talked to ATI and they gave me great information on what I needed and didn't need. Others told me I needed the fuel pump upgrade , etc... but ATI was honest and said with the charger putting out the 8psi and is the base model, I probably didn't need it. They'll answer your questions.
Also I went with them because you don't have to tap into the oil pan. The Procharger is a self-contained unit that requires it's own oil to be put in it, which comes with the kit.
That's my 2 cents, and the s/c runs great. Going to get everything dynotuned this may 06. Oh yeah also get a tuner. The diablo chip that comes with the procharger sucks. It wouldn't work with the car, so they (ATI) gave me a $100.00 credit since the chip didn't work.
Alrighty then, that might be more than 2 cents, but just do your research and ask questions, questions, questions, until you know exactly what you want and under stand what you need. It's a big investment, don't BLOW it, get it, BLOW, lol. Wait you want to Blow er don't you? Damn getting cornfuzzled now.
