That's what I'm hoping it as, also with the rise in rpms its mainly only when im driving. Not sure if maybe the CAI is kinda ramming air into the engine (since I don't have the hood on) and that would cause it.

Default Detroit Craigslist find

http://detroit.craigslist.org/pts/1060820849.html

For anyone in the Detroit area, here is a great deal on a 5.4 long block. It sounds like it will need head gaskets though. But you cant beat it for $150

Hey JScottGT! Send me the CAD files! I've been thinking about making them and selling on the net!

Item I have on ebay! Just don't want to do it any more Besides, the engine was not built for it.

type in "5.4l Holley Supercharger" that should pull it up

Why would you post something like this?
That shop could capitalize on your hard work!

My intention was to provide you the CAD data so you can have flanges made up for yourself

Default bad idea

That's exactly why you keep your hard work and $$$$ spent to yourself. It's not if but when you are going to get taken advantage of. I know you were just trying to help people out, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Default Moving on...

Anyway, moving on here... I just finished up my design on the driver's side header. Using the pictures that r3d took along the way, I was able to pretty accurately replicate the routing for the primaries. This is by no means a direct make & bolt-in, but moves me in the right direction to know what cuts need to be made and at what angles. I will still have to design and build a jig for cutting the J-bends of tubing accurately for my desired angle. Here is what I wound up with...

From the looks of things, yes it will. I fit it with the TR3650 trans because it is bigger than the T45.

Hey guys, guess I've been standing by watching this forum long enough since about sept 08. I've got an 03 gt that's totally stock. My project is finally running at a decent speed. MMR has my block which is out of a 2001 f250 having it bored over 20 built to an mmr900. Currently on the list I belive for a first shipment of trickflow blower heads. Had it built with 8.5 CR and doing a tork tech blower. And I'm based in the Nashville, tn area

Very nice . Did you copy the engine and trans from r3ds pics, or did you input them from a different source?

Well guys I have been trying and trying and I can not get her to run right. Constant missfires. Getting codes for "missfire under 1000 rpms" , "number 3 cylinder missfire" , number 5 cylinder missfire"

I have checked and rechecked and replaced parts, etc. JUst keeps happening, and runs like ***!

Timing maybe?

Try swapping the coils on 3 and 5 to opposite banks and see if the error codes shift location..

I placed my order back on 2/13 and I recieved my intake on 3/6... so it was a full 3 weeks. I didnt have them add any additional machining like the coolant x/over. I am drilling & tapping that portion myself.

One thing I did notice when I did a test-fit of the intake was that the bottom of the plenum plate made contact with a stiffening rib on the block in the valley. I had to give it a little touch (the block) with a grinder to allow it to fit correctly.

It sounds like you have an air leak between the intake and cylinder head. A few of us have had those same issues and had to re-seal the intake better. Are you using adapter plates?

still using stock tune yes, but I can tell even with a tune this will not run. I was thinking that it felt like it does when there is an intake leak. I have sealed and resealed this thing a dozen times.

Would an intake leak be giving all those missfire codes?

An intake leak or vacuum leak will give those misfire codes. Easiest way to check for leaks is with carb cleaner. Spray some near the intake interface while the car is idling. If you get a change in RPMs, there is a leak there.

Default my advice

Cyls 3 and 5 are on opposite banks. It would be a great help if you knew somebody at a dealer or somebody with a decent scan tool. You could look at the fuel trims and see what they look like etc. Also, if you knew some shop with a smoke machine that is used on evap. system leaks, you could smoke test the intake to verify if and where leaks were. It sounds to me like those adapter plates are nothing but a pain.
