The cobra lower will bolt up but the intake's ports are much smaller than the ports in the heads.

The Navi heads can be made to flow but they must be enlarged to do so. This makes their already large ports even bigger which kills velocity.

I just spec'd some cams for a motor that made 490rwhp n/a with a break-in tune. It's a 322 that used 03/04 heads. Check out page 82 of the latest 5.0 mustang and you will see the article on it.

Nope, none of the above, but I am spec'ing some cams for a Whipple cjarged 322 with 03/04 heads and also a 324 that has a stock intake and 03/04 heads.

Default 4v

well, i put the heads up for sale on corral, so if they sell they sell if not then i will keep them....
6 one way half a dozen another... if they dont sell i will build them up and use them if they do sell i will then go buy 03/04 cobra heads, and then build them up...

cause being able to use on 03/04 cobra intake manifold, and superchargers for that and all other interchangeable parts there are for the 03/04 means my options are endless....

And it would be relatively cheap to do this as well...

Finally got it running right and went to the track. Made 5 passes on the 1/8th mile all in the 7's. The best being 7.67 @ 92 mph.

I was thinking about this as well, i was like hmmm lol... would be good if it did fit... i think it wouldnt be much taller then the stock i wouldnt think...

but if someone has had one previously would be nice... might actually be faster to get an answer in a 03/04 cobra section....

I'm waiting on cash still. Too many things are going wrong on my car that eats away at the cash. Plus $4/gal gas isn't helping either...

I've got my long block together, I've got the cam's degree'd and the right (passenger) side cam was off by about 9 degrees, and the left (drivers) side was only off by 2 degrees. On a side note, I bought new OEM ford chains and they had two marked links on one end and one marked link on the other, I can only assume this is to make up for it being a odd number of links, I think this was covered before.

The insurance adjuster just came by this morning, and since I'm gonna have most of my car apart, I'm tempted to go ahead and swap it in, but like everyone else I need an intake, so its either wait... or drop the cash for adapters and a PI intake, which I dont want to do.

I've got everything needed to finish the Holley blower install and a little bit more machining on the cranck pulley. The pulley has been in the lathe for about two months now waiting on me to put some belt grooves in LOL.

First things first! I got to get my colon removed! This project would have been done back in April, if it had not be for Ulcerative Colitis. Stupid colon, stupid UC.

My project went on hold and then I found a 2005 GT with a Vortech. I ended up getting that instead and with the 3V I think I will be much happier in the long term. I will start actually looking for a bottem end here again soon and I think I will go to 5.4 with the Vortech. Should make a pretty kick *** DD when I am done.

Well i bought a TR6060 to put in,
Navi heads, sitting at the house, need to send them off to get ported polished and port together, the block, pistons crank, rods, all sitting in my kitchen floor, hood is in the garage...
im in Iraq...
4 months or so tell i get to play with it all

thinking im giong to put the 4v adapter plates on and run the o3/04 cobra super charger and intake. How much boost can i run with this? 20 PSI or will it stop at like 12-13 before the seals break?

Default trans help....

TR6060 into 99 GT
so my questions are has anyone done this swap?

It will bolt up, But its like a T-56 on steriods so you have to cut part of the Trans tunnel out correct?

Also have to move the shifter back and cut out part of the center console.

Now, here is my idea....

I cut out the Trans tunnel, get some new pieces of metal roll them a little to fit... Tack them on ... then looks good weld them in, to make my trans tunnel wider, for this trans...

Problem 2 that i have few ideas for is the center console... the only reall idea i have, is to make a center console out of wood and carpet the center console to match my current carpet of the car, and take the cup holder plastic pieces, and defroster, and place that on the new carpet center console.

Or what about a fiberglass center console that is the color of the outside of the car. Outisde of car is a dark green inside is tan leather seats tan carpet... so i think the fiberglass thing would be awesome just dont know who i could have do it...

thoughts... or tips??

hey guys sorry about being gone from the boards so much... I'm working 2 full time jobs and putting in a lot of phone time getting the header project finished.

INTAKE UPDATE: Bob and the boys down at HPS had a minor setback when one of their key contributors got hurt. They're back on track and I should hopefully get some more info in the next several days. At least the first run is finally done. We should be seeing pics and all kinds of coolness in the near future.

HEADER UPDATE: Headers are being worked on...still. This is likely to take a while. Fitting them for auto and manual without a tubular k-member is a huge task.

Question for longtube candidates: if using longtubes on your 5.4L 2v requires you to convert to a tubular k-member (you can still use stock springs and shocks with the correct AJE k-member so coil over is an option not a mandate) does it substantially change your level of commitment to doing longtubes on your project? Even if the longtubes can net you say 30rwhp over shorties?

The above is totally hypothetical and is just to answer a question posed by the shop making the headers.

bakin: use foam and foil to make a mold and do it up. If mixing the resin isn't something you've done before ask someone who has for tips... he'll give you a book full of them. Roll the air out of every layer of glass or you'll be hatin life. Other than that, get wild. I like the concept as long as it's well executed. Getting it well painted is usually the hard part. To have it made, visit your local auto-stereo shop (a good one, not good guys or best buy) and ask them. They do custom speaker boxes at most good shops. Figure on several hundred bucks plus paint cost to have it made or about a hundred + paint to make it yourself.
