any reviews or comments on the MT shifter, i kinda like the price..., nevermind i didnt know it didnt come with the handle, i guess the steeda might be the way to go...yes...no....maybe so?

I went with the Pro 5.0,it is a good shifter also.The Steeda looks like it has an adjustable handle,which comes in handy.It's easier to shift if you don't have to reach way out to shift under acceleration.

I have th MT shifter, and really like it so far. It is basically a Tri-Ax, it looks identical. I havent missed a shift with it yet. I already had a short shift handle and ****, so that was'nt an issue.

I recently installed a UPR shifter in my 99 GT. I love it. $100 + shipping w/handle. They have two different handles to choose from.

Yea the MT shifter is basically just the same as a TriAX, I went with the Steeda cause I got an awesome deal on it from Chris here at MT. Id go with the Steeda, just cause it comes with the handle already. I love mine.

cool, thanx guys. i need one soon-i know 3rd is there somewheres between 1st and 5th i seldom find it though :thumbsup:

:laughing1 I tihnk a shifter would be a good mod then

Ps i just put ion a tri-ax its a good shifter, but i never really had a problem powershifting the stocker. Of course my freinds think i'm nuts, Mostly because i am. :angel9:

I have a Tri-Ax for my 02 GT Convertible. Incredible how much better it is than stock. Only took about 30 minutes to install.

i dont mind powershifting the stocker either

Shifter is important as you have to feel it everytime you drive. If you want to see how bad the stock one is drive a stock stang after you have had it for 1 week.

Yea, I rarely, almost never missed with the stock shifter, but Ill say, the Steeda is just so much more solid than the stock, rubbery noodle feeling shifter. Im scared to drive a stock stang for fear of what it might feel like....

I liked my stock shifter i thoguht it was fine, i just didnt like how long the throws were.

I wanted to switch my shifter but I felt all my other friends GT's and Cobra's and their shifters are a lot longer than mine. I have a really short shifter but want to upgrade to a smooth precise one. Will it be just as short as my current shifter or shorter...or longer?
