I went with the Pro 5.0,it is a good shifter also. The Steeda looks like it has an adjustable handle, which comes in handy. It's easier to shift if you don't have to reach way out to shift under acceleration.

I have th MT shifter, and really like it so far. It is basically a Tri-Ax, it looks identical. I havent missed a shift with it yet. I already had a short shift handle and ****, so that was'nt an issue.

I recently installed a UPR shifter in my 99 GT. I love it. $100 + shipping w/handle. They have two different handles to choose from.

Yea the MT shifter is basically just the same as a TriAX, I went with the Steeda cause I got an awesome deal on it from Chris here at MT. Id go with the Steeda, just cause it comes with the handle already. I love mine.

I have a Tri-Ax for my 02 GT Convertible. Incredible how much better it is than stock. Only took about 30 minutes to install.

Shifter is important as you have to feel it everytime you drive. If you want to see how bad the stock one is drive a stock stang after you have had it for 1 week.

Yea, I rarely, almost never missed with the stock shifter, but Ill say, the Steeda is just so much more solid than the stock, rubbery noodle feeling shifter. Im scared to drive a stock stang for fear of what it might feel like....

I wanted to switch my shifter but I felt all my other friends GT's and Cobra's and their shifters are a lot longer than mine. I have a really short shifter but want to upgrade to a smooth precise one. Will it be just as short as my current shifter or shorter...or longer?
