Default Roush 3650 Base for Shifter and Roush Shifter Kit

Anybody ever upgrade their rides with these? I'm wondering if this can be done by an average weekend warrior mechanic like myself or is this a job for a shop to do? What tools may I need and is there anywhere to find an installation guide online? I'm hoping to hear back from somebody that has upgraded to this shifter.

Thanks,
Mark

Shifters are very easy to install. Just pop off the plastic cover around it, unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the inner boot on, unbolt the 4 bolts holding the sifter on, give it a couple of wacks and the shifter should break lose. Then, take the plastic piece on the tranny end off the old shifter and slip on the new one, either use a gasket or use silicone to seal the shifter to the trans, bolt and torque the 4 bolts back on, adjust the shift stops (if it has any) and the neutral spring, put the inner boot on, and snap the cover back on. Very easy install and the only tools you'll need are a socket wrench w/ 2 sockets, extensions, allen key, and lastly a torque wrench (though this isn't absolutely necessary but it is highly recommended to use it).

Yeah its a pretty simple job. You might struggle to get the rear 2 bolts off. They are kinda a PITA to reach.
