Hey guys...
just was wondering which gears let you launch at a higher RPM? 3:73s or 4:10s?

gracias!

You can launch with any gears at any rpm.

Redline is redline... and gears dont change that.

What he said, cept I would add that say going to 4.10's may force you to launch at a lower rpm to avoid more slip as the car is going to accellerate faster with those gears.

3.73 and 4.10 gears, will def. make the tires slip...to redline, and probably a little in 2nd gear, if it's stock. i had 4.10's in my 95 GT, with lots of mods and i had to launch at 1500 just to let the tires break loose alittle, but to have them spin in 2nd, and bark 3rd.
