I think a modular block is basically the entire bundle in the block, pistons, crank, rods, etc.
The most popular crankshaft is the Forged Cobra crank.
and check out modularpowerhouse.com or modularmustangracing.com for stuff you need. You might find it easier to just buy the whole block and everything assembled rather than buying a rotating assembly and have someone install it for you. I'm buying the MMR 900 btw. And 2 1/2 heads with either VT cams or custom grind at MPH.

thanks that explains alot cause i was confused as hell but i was gona put it in myself so itwould not cost so much but it is better to just buy the whole assembly are you getting the 4.6 block and that dose seem to be a better deal just to do that but will the PI heads bolt up to that block?

I think that the 900 block I'm getting is like right at 3 grande because I wanted to ad the ARP main studs, but I think this is better since youi get an entire new block (Romeo or Windsor, they give you an optiion) and also new seals, rings, bearings. I'm still learning also but have just read countless articles, forums, and websites.

I would recommend the heads over at Modularpowerhouse though, I've heard that many people have had problems with installing others, such as Patriot performance.

With heads, cam, and block, I think it would be more around 5,500.
The 2 1/2 heads are like 2 grand! I was about to say it would be cheaper to bore out your existing heads maybe, but then remebered your non PI i think.

Yes definately would. Everything in the block is forged, 900 block is rated at 900 HP in the engine. They also have an 1100 and a monster block. but for me, let's be realistic I'm not aiming for an 700-800RWHP 2v GT. I just want a nice 500-550 RWHP daily driver. I'm pretty sure that many people will reccomend the same cams and heads as I did. As far as reliabiliy I would assume they're wonderful because there's many people that have them and never have I heard problems. The man at MPH is Tim, they also have a forum there as well. You might want to check over there to see if they have anymore and e-mail Tim to ask him about his heads.

I'm doing the same thing you are, when I build my block, I'm getting new heads and cam. I recommend these only because I've done a lot of reading upon these two pieces, and these are what I've come to find the best for our cars. I just realized, do you have a power adder?????? With the cams and heads and block, it might be possible to pick up close to 75-90RWPH? especiailly since your going from non-pi to, well THAT^^!! haha, good luck

A good spring that seems to be popular round these parts are the H&R springs, the're great quailty and wont sacrifice ride quality
runs about 220-230? good stuff tho

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/giab3.asp That's what I'm getting when I do suspension A lot say that its best to do suspension, and gears, and tranny rebuilds if you have an AODE, before heavy engine work. But c-mon, who the heck wouldnt want a supercharger right away like us

BTW, are you supercharging?

Yea, gonna be doing a S-trim with stock pulley. Focus pump, 42# inj., 90 mm maf, spark plugs, 75mm accufab TB/Plenum, and MPH boost pipe. Hoping to be around 360-370HP thru my auto. Then gettin 18x9 and 18x10 saleen chrome with bfg rubber. Thats nexy year

i've done so much research it's not even funny. I still might go ahead and get the T-trim right off the bat, but I'm a little worried that a 3.6 inch pulley might be too big for the T-trim. I might have to run 10 or 12 pounds on the T-trim for it to be effective, and that would be too much for my liking.

Yea, I'm doing the rims to basically make my car a Saleen replica. I didnt do the body kit, but it's a full kit, and i need wider wheels so I might as well go along with it, even though I'm not a huge fan of trying to make my car look like something its not. But then again, after a blower I'll be faster than some saleens lol.

As far as tranny, I'm doing Transgo Shift kit, 3200 or 3000 stall convertor, tran cooler, and then 3.73 gears for the rear end.

And then also that same year doing the suspension work from maximum motorsport with that link above I posted awhile back. So I think it's very possible in two years this should be all completed. My goal is to have a VERY dependable daily driver around 360-365 RWHP. I think with the suspension and tranny work, and then some drag radials, I think I might be able to hit high high 11's with my auto, thats my goal. If not low 12's will have to work, shux, lol

how long is your drag strip i think i am going with the 4.10's in mine since ill be N/A for a while then if i get a blower ill go 3.73's a hope to get a better clutch some time soon but my car hates this weather so it probally wont be driven as much
