I looking to go with a Meziere electric water pump on my GT. What do you all think about getting an underdrive pulley for the crank? Sets come with water pump, alt, and crank pullies. Obviously, I don't need the water pump pulley, as the pump will just have an idler pulley. I don't want to mess with the alt to avoid any charging problems. I do have a sound system, although not too large, I just want to mess with it. The crank would be the other. I see that steeda sells just the crank pulley separately but you have to call to order. What do you guys think and do you know of anyone else who sells just the underdrive crank pulley? Thanks for the input.

how much does the steeda crank damper cost? If i were you i would buy a used set of steeda's for about 100 shipped (look around you can find them) and then just sell the other two cheaply.

Thats what I want to do to mine in the near future. The Meziere ad in MM+FF Says it gains 18hp at the wheels. Thats kind of hard to believe but Ive never known anyone that had one. You might have to get a different size drivebelt for it.

 

I have heard it is more like 12 at the wheels...I know if I get the crank pulley I will need another belt, but if you just get the pump, I believe you can reuse stock length.
