oil pressure gauge install...

well if you dont mind having the stock guage not work all you due is take out the stock sender from ford (located right near the oil filter and use the one autometer gives you and run the lines and wires. if you want to use the stock guage and have the autometer you have to use a T and T-of where the old oil pressure sender was and hook them both up off the T.

can you of course. I have a nitrous line running threw my car i am i scared its gonna burst not really. If you are worried then dont buy the mechanical ones and use electric.
Me it wouldnt really bother me as long as you check it to make sure all the connections have some thread locker or some teflon tape on them to prevent leaks. other than that i never had a problem in my 99 f150 with a that guage for over 3 years. it never leaked or anything.

Electric guages are usually easier to install safely. Coolant guages are a PITA sometimes but you get the hang after only 1 or 2.
I run all my guages through a master switch with the power coming through a fused link right off the battery. It's safe and easy. The power to the light bulb I tapped from my headlight dimmer (black wire with purple stripe I think... been a while). You can tap just as easily from the +12v wire on your rear window defogger button, traction control button, radio, etc... if you want it key switched.
Mechanical guages require plumbing, which I view as a failure prone PITA.
Good luck.
