yeah i'm sure...i put on the flowmasters myself assuming it was 2.25.. i was WAY off...that was a pita i tell you what. i figured the average diameter was 1 7/8ths....smaller in places and larger in others...what a cluster (expletive deleted) that exhaust system is...

On a Crown Vic PI the Diameter was that small? Odd, I Would have though it was the same as a stock Mustang which is 2 1/4. You should have just replaced it all with something bigger.

hey thanks for rubbing it in..

and yeah i thought that the diameter would have been similar to the stangs since it is the same engine, but i was wrong...ordered flowmasters with a 2 1/4 intake and had but buy reducers with 1 7/8 intakes in order to fit em on there ...so now i am going to redo the whole thing. i was thinkin of lengthening the slp cat-back system and going with an slp x-pipe but now i have to rethink that whole situation anyway i'll crawl under it and take a look at the headers, see if they have a big enough opening to fit the xpipe, if not anyone know of anwhere that sells some shorty headers for these engines?
