Default Is it time to sell my roush for a paxton 2200?

OK, My brother has offered to sell me his almost complete paxton 2200 ( some plumbing missing )

I would have to sell the Roush m90 that I have now, that I have never been able to get to perform to my expectations. I took the car to some "Mustang experts"
they said " other than some drivability issues it dynoed out at what they expected.

anywya do I keep it or sell it.

Let me know what you think

I'm guessing it's a 2V. And IMO I have never seen a roots or twin-screw blower on a 2V that performed well. Seems that a centri-style always performs a lot better. So I'd definitely go with it. Not to mention the paxton will be a lot more efficient since usually the IATs are a lot lower with centris.

I say go for it.

He has another post about how the power the roush charger made on his 2006 GT...I think he just needs to run the 10lb pulley and run a custom tune. That should put you in the power range you were expecting.

It's common sense in the power-adder world. The ONLY thing good for a twin screw is instant power, but IMO it's not worth the heatsoaking issues and generally the overall efficiency of roots/twinscrews to begin with.

For some reason it seems like every 2V car running a twinscrew is disappointed in power. Not to mention when/if you max out a twinscrew it is much harder to swap to a bigger unit. Whereas with a centri, you just swap with a bigger head unit. Everything else is pretty much the same other than maybe the inlet.
