To sell or not to sell... new reasons not too.... DILEMMA!
I got in a fender bender the other day and just got an estimate. Damage was front left fender, front bumper, and headlight.
ESTIMATE: $1,936.XX
Now I can either fix it for much cheaper, pocket the money and save more a new car.
Or, I can replace my whole fiberglass Saleen kit (which looks like crap with spiderwebbing everywhere). This was one of the reasons I wanted to sell it.
The kit, install, prep, etc. would be about $2000.
To go even further, since the bumper, fender, and front of the hood need to be repainted or replaced (covered by insurance) I could go ahead and do something like a flame design leading into the rest of the car. (flames would not go into the doors, also would be sonic blue in color leading to black) This would probably be around another $1,000 for a total of around $3,200 with everything fixed and new (authentic Saleen kit, custom flamed paint, and new fender) $2000 of that would be the insurance check so I would only pay about $1200 for everything.
So, what do I do?!?!?!

I found the pics that I would use as a flame paint model.
The yellow one would be the style of the flames and how far back they would go on the hood and fenders.
The white and blue would be obviously the colors I would want, but the tips of the flames would just be tipped in black.

$5 in gas to the junk yard
$150-$200 for a new fender
$200-250 bumper depending on where you go
$300 to paint especially in white
$100 for headlights
That leaves a **** load to play with you could even take a little of the money and get another Saleen bumper if you wanted.
