i have a flowmaster catback on my 02 gt now and i was thinkin about putting in some slp loudmouth resonators. but are those street legal or would they be too loud to put on?

 

Technically any mufflers that make the sound louder than stock are not street legal.

Loudmouths are obnoxiously loud, though.

 

Depends on how the police are where you live. I had SLP LM1's on my car with an o/r H-pipe and I was pulled over 3 times in 4 days with them. They sounded cool at idle, but honestly above that was just noise no tone or anything. And I live near a college (UCF FTW!) and the college police did not like it.

 

oh yea im in cali, i know id get pulled over if its too loud. im kinda looking for something a little louder and a bit more flow to them.

 

Yeah, loudmouths are definitely not what you would want to go with then.

I've always been a fan of magnaflow magnapack mufflers on v8 mustangs, but they're pretty damn loud too.

yea that sounds pretty good close to what i got now though, since i put an x pipe on the car seems quiet unless im at WOT, i have a borla side exhaust kit i never put on cuz my car is so low it'd probably get all scrapped up, maybe ill get some adjustable lower control arms so i might have enough clearance for it.

 

I'm in southern CA and have the Magnapacks on my car. They sound great and I've yet to have a problem with the cops because of it being too loud. Just don't get on it wif you see cops around.

 

I have the Magnapacks on my Mach1 and they are awesome. I have a friend with the SLP LM with and O/R X pipe and it is LOUD when he gets on it. The Magnaflows have an awesome tone to them. Def would put these on another car if I had to again.
