Default SLP Loudmouth Mufflers

Hey, I think I found the perfect muffler for me. I have been drewling over the Loudmouth Cat-Back for some time now however my dad would definetely kill me if he came home and saw 2 huge chrome pipes sticking out the back of my car so i just found the actually SLP Loudmouth Mufflers alone on www.rpmoutlet.com . They are the "shotgun" style mufflers and will replace my oem mufflers. Does anyone know any reason why I shouldn't buy them before I put out the money for them? I am always a little paranoid about buying new mods. Thanks.

its a muffler, its gonna make it louder and add a tad bit of Hp (assuming you use stock pipes). if you run 2.5 pipes you will gain a bit more power. Other than that there is nothing wrong with them.

just curious, will the mufflers sound the exact same way as the cat-back sounds or not? i also have an off-road H pipe so im expecting it to be real loud. i just ordered the mufflers now so im really curious to see the results

I am curious about this as well. My prediction is that it will sound really cool. On the loudness scale, I think it will be loud but not defening.

It will be almost identical in sound to a full catback.

i want the car to look as stock as possible so im leaving the stock pipes. maybe sometime down the road ill throw on chrome tips or something but id rather keep as much stock as possible. the mufflers should be perfect for me.

why don't you buy the catback and not install the tips then?

with an or-x, its gonna be pretty loud... I have a catted x with the loudmouth and it sounds great but it wakes the neighbors when I come home in the middle of the night.

If you don't want your dad to know you did it it may not be the best set up.
