Default Need Advice

I am not sure exactly where to post this, but I need some advice.

I am looking to upgrade to a 2001 or 2003 cobra or a 2003 mach 1. I have found this 2003 mach 1 with 41,000 miles that is locally owned selling for $13,500. I need your guys' advice whether or not to jump on this, or to wait and save up for a 2003 cobra. Would it be worth waiting for a cobra?

I'd wait for a 04 cobra or an 03 that had the heads replaced or has the blue stripe heads. A mach1 is basically an 01 cobra with a solid rear axle and doesn't have nearly as much potential in the parts it came with.

What if the 2003-2004 cobras were out of the picture? Would you wait for a 2001 cobra or just go for this deal? Is this even a good deal for a mach? I have been looking for a while and have not seen one with this low of miles for this cheap.

IMO id take the mach 1 over an 01 cobra. And thats pretty cheap compared to others ive seen with that mileage. Obviously the termi cobra would be my number 1 choice by a long shot but definately go with the mach 1 over the 01. Btw what color is the one for sale that your looking into?

It is zinc yellow. But I am going to wait for a different mach 1 now. I don't really like zinc yellow. Would love a black or blue one.

Check out King's thread comparing the Mach 1 to the terminators. He just posted it up a couple of weeks ago. That should help you out some.

Just depends on what you like really. The Mach1's are a great setup for a street/strip car with the 4v motor and solid rear end.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I am going to keep looking for Mach1's and see what I can get. I like the solid rear end and the potential that they have. I am hooked on the modding bug now. I realized my v6 just wasn't cutting it. It's funny how that works. Hopefully the Mach1 will cure me. But I'll probably just want a termi after that!
