Default SCT reusable

Been really busy lately and haven't been on in a long time but I'm about to buy a SCT tuner for my car and had a question. Well long story short in about 3 years im buying a mach 1 and i really wanna tune my current car. The problem is if i go and spend 370ish on the tuner and cant use it on the mach 1 I might as well keep the money and wait. Basically can the tuner be resused on the new car with a different downloaded tune or will i need to buy a whole new tuner?

you can reuse it but you will have to return your current car to the stock tune to unlock it before you can use it on the mach. they can only tune one car at a time.

Ok sounds good. I just didn't want to spend the extra money when I could use it towards the mach 1 in 2-3 years

Hell yea lol. Nothing wrong with knowing what I want. My freshman year at YCP is about over and im getting it probly the beginning of my senior year so its more like 2 but yea you get the gist of it. O and to JohnnySVT im getting the SCT Xcal3 from american muscle. Im definately leaning towards getting a 91 octane tune

Why go for a 91 tune? Don't you guys get 93 out in PA?

+1,000,000. Never understood that. If your going to get a tune get it from a real tuner instead of a retailer. AM is great don't get me wrong I've bought everything from them except for my tune

I've been in PA numerous times and I've only seen 91. I'm living in CA and I'm stuck with 91 again lol. Yes, return the car back to normal settings and then you can use the tuner for your other stang. For the price the SCT's kick some butt.

i live in Pa too, close to wilkes-barre/scranton 93 is the highest ive seen, also the only i use :-) also as a side note, ive been getting the best gas mileage from BP and Shell. Sunoco,Turkey hill any quick mart gas all suck ***** when it comes to gas mileage, and no my driving habits dont change

You can use the tuner again like others have mentioned, but I wouldn't use the GT tune on the Mach 1. I purchased a predator for my 03 GT and then used it on my Mach, but I had a different tune specifically for the mach put on it.
