Default Cold air induction

I'm wanting to install a cold air induction in my 02 gt ,no mods , I read a thread on the drop in K&N . But Ihave also heard that some of the drop in kits will cause the engine light to come on, is there any truth to that ? How about the BBK kit ? What kit should I purchase ?

I have the MAC fenderwell cold air kit and didnt have any problems. As far as I know its almost identical the BBK. Im going to sell mine I think for like $75 if you would be interested. (Where are you located?) Its a couple years old but its in good shape. Just needs a little wiping up which Ill do before I sell it.

I had the MAC fenderwell kit, and I took it out. My car actually ran worst with the bend after the MAF. I just put a K&N and removed the air silencer and just left the top part of the MAC on for looks.

Just buy a K&N and maybe pull the silencer. You wont notice anything anyway, so just buy the one thats cheaper, the K&N.

I didn't figure it would do much, just wanted the looks for now, but I did read it would cause the engine light to come on , any problems there?
