X-pipe
#5
Get some penetrating lube for the bolts holding the stock midpipe to the exhaust manifolds (leverage requires a long lever arm, which may become difficult to use under the car), it's been on there for a while so those things will fight you all the way. Also, get some swivel joints for your socket wrench, and have a few extensions handy. Don't forget to disconnect the front O2 sensors (the ones near the manifolds) BEFORE you try letting the pipe down. Since aftermarket x-pipes either have no cats or only the rear cats, it is MUCH easier to put the x-pipe back on, as you have more room to work up by the manifolds. Lastly, if your car is lowered, make sure the U-bolts that connect the x-pipe to the catback are either facing towards each other, or better yet up towards the car body, to avoid any ground clearance issues.

wow its that easy? I have been going to shops where I live and getting told that they cant/wont do it. NYS emissions is pretty strict and these shops will get fined so they dont want to get caught. So if its that easy I guess I can do it myself, or at least try lol.
