Default I need fuel!!

well my 02 gt has been running a little lean for quite some time now i could just tell by the spark plugs. but as of the other day the ses light came on and i checked it with my tuner it had 2 codes saying lean (i dont remember the exact codes) but luckily i have saved enough money to do sumthing about this. now i have intake, 75 mm tbody, plenum, then longtubes, off road x pipe, and cat back with no mufflers (so straight pipes) would getting fuel rails and injectors solve my problem along with a new tune maybe a dyno tune? if so what size injectors do i need? and any recomendations on what company to go with?

thanks guys
max

what codes were you throwing exactly?

my car thought it was running lean because of a exhaust leak and guess what it did...fawked my plugs all up they were all covered in this white powder. since the sensors said there was too much oxygen the computer dumped in more fuel and fouled out the plugs.

get new plugs and look for an exhaust leak thats before your front o2 sensors.

from your sig you are not even close to maxing out your injectors or rails so those are not needed.

you just need to have a proper tune put on it and fix your exhaust leaks. You don't make enough power to need bigger injectors or fuel rails. The rails are pretty but that's about it for you.

yeah ill check for a leak but its just making me nervous cause its been idleing kinda bad with like puttering coming out of the tailpipes it sounds like missfiring and the other night when the ses light came on again i heard 2 hard knocks coming from under the hood as i was pulling into a parking lot but i shut the car off and let it cool down and no knocking after i started it back up but just not running smoothly.

unmetered air (vacuum leak or intake tract leak) would also cause these symptoms

yeah, you're probably running WAY lean, especially with the long tube headers. If I were you i wouldn't get on the throttle hard until you get a tune.

yeah i havent gotten on the throttle more that a handfull of times in the past 2-3 months due to weather and the fact that i knew it hasnt been running well. i just hope that it didnt do any serious damage. i made an appointment to get it checked out and im gonna have them put a new tune on it. but for the meantime if i change the plugs and erase the codes will it be alright to drive on the weekend. or would i want to leave the codes for when it gets checked out?

copy down the codes so you can tell them what it was and try it. and if you are running strait pipes you might not be geting the back presure you need.
