Bone stock 4.6l Mod motor, Max HP?
#2
400-450 is about as much as you want with a safe tune on a daily driver. 450 is pushing it though. sure there are motors pushing more but to be safe for a daily driver 450 is max i personaly wouldnt go over 420rwhp on a daily driver stock motor.

Was just curious.
A buddy of mine has a Dodge quadcab 1500 hemi, and he was stating that that 5.7l hemi magnum can handle about 1000 HP without any major engine overhauls.
I read somewhere in these forums that you could take about 450rwhp or so a good supercharger and some boltons without worrking about frying yer engine.
He told me that was crap, and that that "little" V8 probably couldnt handle more than 350-400 RWHP before i would damage my engine.
Then again, like any HEMI fan they thing the world revolves around thier engine. Somehow in his mind that 1.1l extra of displacement doubles his engine potential.
If i follow his math, with his engine having 20% more displacement, his math would conclude that the 4.6l mod motor could handle about 800HP
Dumb arguement either way, but these 4.6l Mod Motors can do more than he gives em creit for.

who cares what he says there have been quiet a few blown engines running over 450 hp most under 450 rwhp last a long time. so 450 would be max like i said on a daily driver i would keep it to around 420 with a safe tune on stock short block. but you will hear a few different numbers thats just what i see most people having problems at hp wise. also i dought a stock hemi can take 1000hp. hes full of **** tell him to make it have 500 all motor then spray a 500 shot see how long it last i bet not very long.
