I am trying to lighten my 92 fox and came accross the term "dog bone"
which cann be eliminated - no one I talk to knows what it is. i understand it is a balancer?dampler for stock gears - i now have 355's and aluminum driveshaft so where is it and how do i take it out- how much weight is saved

 

it bolts around the rear diff, weights @10lbs and if you remove it, make-sure you reattach the upper brkt as it is the contact point for the rear axle pinion snubber
