Default Saleen intake question

i was just curious if a saleen intake manifold with the aluminum crossover would fit correctly on my car. i'm about ready to do the PI swap and was wondering how this would work out. also, the intake has 24# injectors i believe (they are pink), is there anything else i need to change if im upgrading injectors.

The intake should be fine, youll need a tune for the new injectors. Not sure if those are 24 though, Ive heard so many different answers, 19, 21, 22, and 24.

I thought the intake is the exact same on the N/A saleen's as those on the GT's.

so those injectors wouldnt work at all without a new tune? i didn't really wanna take advantage of the higher # injectors. i couldnt run them how they are without a tune?

Unless your car came stock with whatever those pink ones are, or was tuned for the same rate injector (19, 22, etc.) then you cant run them without a tune.

pink tops are 21/22lb. They're actually on the cusp of being either. I call them 21's cuz they're not quite 22's.

Ford changed to the bigger injectors when they upped the actual power output of the 4.6 2v in 02/03. They didn't bump the official power rating but the 02+ cars were putting down 10hp more than earlier cars stock for stock.

he's got it right. Blue tops are 24 pounders. either would work fine for your application

will this intake work for the PI swap? i didnt think it would because it said that it was non PI. i was wondering if there was just a quick fabrication i could do to make it work like RTV or something.

Why would you put a NPI intake on PI heads????? I dont care if it would work or not, that would be a total waste of money.

Is that a picture of a stock intake? If so, didn't the Aluminum crossover appear from '01+ (when PI heads were being used)?

He said that picture was Non-PI intake, which means it's
96-98.

that intake was going to come as a package deal with the heads. i wasn't going to buy that intake separately. i just wanted to know if i should use that one or buy a PI intake and now i know.

Yeah, find something else. Even if you bought that package, you wouldnt be able to sell the intake for that much.
