hahaha lol i did see a really stupid one yesterday...i think it was trying to be a mitsa****'z eclipse from the fast and furious...it was 1/2 GREEN 1/2 WHITE....HAHAH and a campbell soup can fart cannon. oh yeah and dont forget the HotWheels white plastic rims. =)

I would have to agree with keeping the flows on there and getting some LTs and an x-pipe. I have that setup and I love it. Check out my video for an idea of what mine is sounding like.

I wouldnt worry about the emissions laws. Cops dont care if it sounds good. Like you said, they just hate the ricers. I took my car to have it inspected a few weeks ago and I passed with no cats on the car at all. The guy didnt even care. He looked but just grinned and finished up my paperwork.....I have mil eliminators so there was no check engine light. I have never had any cops pull me over or even say anything about my exhaust bieng loud. They only hate when it sounds ****ty. Whatever you do, dont run straight pipes or straight thru mufflers like SLP LM1. Those are the types that they dont like because its a real sharp cracking sound that can hurt peoples ears.

Getting an O/R Midpipe will greatly increase the sound. I'd do an O/R X with your flows, you'll like the sound.

hahah i just found the video....tis guy is a good driver just a dumb *** for letting the cops catch up the 2nd time! i think the car is a mustang...i think a 94-98 judging by the hood.

I am from LA... lived in the greater LA area for about 20 years. I know the cops there quite well. You might think you're immune but you're not so welcome to the 1000 dollar ticket land if you get popped for illegal exhaust. No CARB number on the midpipe, ticket. Too loud, ticket. Look like a punk, ticket.
I'd say I have a good 15 years of EXPERIENCE on you in this area, so take my advice or flush it... I don't care. I just don't want another mustang crushed because some silly 16yo decided he had to have the loudest friggin car in the universe as an extension of his self esteem instead of maybe a tasteful car that won't **** off the neighbors or land you in jail or in possession of a citation.

Acctualy i am 18 years old...almost 19 and i have been driving since i was 14. acctually i first raced at willow springs race track (you should know where that is) when i was 15 in my dads morgan +8 track car (if you even know what a morgan is) so i consider myself an experienced driver for my age...i understand you are more experienced than i. just wanted you to know i am not a irrisponsible 16 year old with a fast car.

I know here and there cops don't care, but when that one pulls you over, cause he's pissed at the world, that's when he'll look for anything to screw you on.

I think for the most part people appreciate the sound of a muscle car, but not when it's constantly going up and down your street and waking people up or just flat out annoying. I also think that a lot of these cars with fart cans have pissed a lot of people off and so your starting to see tighter local ordinances having to do with exhaust noise levels. And don't kid yourself, when these noise ordinances go on the books it doesn't distinguish between civics or mustangs.....annoying is annoying period.
Find a nice exhaust set up, get a mid pipe with cats and call it a day. You don't need the loudest car in your city or school.

Also if you do go loud, know where to get on it, or when to rev it up. in a neighbor hood, i woudln't get on the gas to much. Highways or main streets will be better. Were i live, i just get pissed that people want to do 60mph when it's a residental area and the speed limit is 35mph, most of those cars that come by, i could easily smoke but you don't see me doing 60mph, also i guess they see a small stretch of road and have to show off, usually ricers and that annoying fart pipe.

I have used Flowmastahs, V-force, Borla and may others. I have to tell you that PYPES VIOLATERS are the best sounding muffler I have yet heard. Check the links below to listen for yourself. (This guy was not trying to get his car loud as fVck but it sounds plenty good to me...)
