When I'm driving and come to a complete stop my car drops below 1,000 RPM's and then after a while goes up a little above 1,000 RPM's. But the needle is anything but stable. I believe I have a miss. Can this be associated with me taking the car to erwindale speed strip and racing it? Any suggestions?

 

Try cleaning your IAC first and see if that helps. If not, could be another sensor.
