Default SVT Focus Fuel Pump???

I know the SVT Focus fuel pump is used when people are blown or spraying, but is there any advantage to using the focus pump on N/A stangs? Would it help my Mach or do I need to be pushing more HP before it would do any good?

Thanks.

Your factory Fuel pump is fine. Like u said...u only need a SVT focus fuel pump if u have serious HP via blower...Nitrous. the SVT Fuel Pump can deliver MORE fuel than the our fuel pumps. Thus is why they are needed to support a Blown/Nitrous stang... its all about the air/fuel ratio.

there is no advantage using a Focus fuel pump on an N/A stang.

If your pump ever goes out AND if there is EVER any chance of going boosted...put it in. I drove for 2 weeks N/A with NO PROBLEMS!!

Think of it this way guys......its supply and demand putting a focus fuel pump will not make you run rich the reason behind the bigger fuel pump is so that you dont run out of fuel and go lean when you exceed the limit of the stock fuel pump that you had in there. Its just a good precaution in case you ever do go boosted

it never hurts to prepare for future mods. I always wondered if going with bigger MAF, injectors and fuel pump, and tune would help alittle. I think the next mustang I get I will be doing that with maybe cams and bigger plenum, TB, and porting of the heads with exhuast upgrades headers back.

I know for a fact I'll never spray and S/C is not in the plan at all.....so from what I've gathered is that it wouldn't help me any if I'm not going to spray or S/C the car, but it wouldn't hurt anything to put one in? Is that about right?

Couldnt of said it better myself :shifty: i use a Focus pump on my car, yes I run nitrous on it but for the most part the nitrous doesnt get used except for when racing at the the track. So to get to the point the car is running N/A most of the time and it has ZERO effects on it!
