Is this hurting performance?
I had my BBK LT's and BBK catted X-pipe installed the other day. I forgot to order a set of 02 sensor extentions for the headers. I have the check engine light on as expected but....will this interfere with my chip's settings at all? Also, I need to get my chip retuned for the LT's and X. Should I see a performance increase with the updated tune?
Thanks
Thanks

yeah, if you're talking about the front O2 sensors, they need to be hooked up. Your ECU won't be able to do your air / fuel ratio. I think it stays in a closed loop mode, someone will know for sure. All I can say is yes, you should get them hooked up ASAP

don't drive your car until you connect those. You'll be running pig rich and might foul your existing O2's... they're 120 a piece to replace typically and they don't like being caked with burned fuel slag.

When I got my LT's put in last week, the shop just added the set of 02's for $35. I knew I had some already, but apparently I didnt have the right kind. Go to any peformance shop and they should have them. But theyre a pain the butt to install

Thanks for the info! I have only driven it about 10 miles unplugged. I stopped because she just didn't feel as strong or sound as good as it should with a new full exaust. My extentions will be here thursday. Thanks again

There should not have been an issue with the front O2 sensors. The rear ones are the ones that need extenders. If you have an uncatted midpipe and MIL eliminators you shouldn't even need them. The MIL eliminators should provide you with all the length you need to reach. I took my extenders off when I put my MILs on. Have you actually looked under the car to see exactly what was going on?

My LT's came with the extensions.. and yes you do need your front o2 sensors hooked up!! And you don't need extensions for the back.. you can either get MIL eliminators or have the rear o2 sensors turned off because they just detect if theres cats or not basically (mine are turned off). But the front o2 sensors need to be working
