It seems to happen alot on this damn 2v's. Mine did the same thing and ford would not repaint it for free....they told me i messed it up. They start with a small chip in front of the hood scoop and then it gets nasty..ford quality no. 1

I've seen a few roushes do that too. For some reason the paint doesnt bond, and it IS Fords fault.

Yeah, when i took my hood to get repainted told me a rookie would have done a better job of painting my hood than what ford did. They told me they don't prime the hoods and its causes the paint to come off after a year or so, but most people think they are rock chips.

anyone know where i can get just an original cowl hood with maybe a 3inch rise what size do yall think would be too big? i want it to be noticable and to stand out from the crowd.. but i dont want it too big where i cant see over it. plus my purge light is right there between the hood and the glass on that little black strip where the windshield wipers go??

There is this little place here in the Cincinnati area called Champion Fiberglass Products....and NO!!! They are not the same company as Cincinnati Composites....... here is their website: Champion Fiberglass Products

They are much less than cervinis and their quality is just about as good...hell I have one of their hoods and I love it:

Default Don't use Lacquer

Make sure the person doing the painting knows you can't use lacquer primer on fiberglass! You need to use urethane primer or epoxy primer. It will flake off if you don't. I have also used Champion Fiberglass before. They may not be finished as well as Cervinis but they are are made just as well as them. Best value out there.
