Default Important Decision!! Need Help!!!

ok guys, as we all know, I am out of the loop with my rims. I need new ones...badly....BUT I also wanna get cams...which would require gears and a chip....I certainly dont mind getting that done, but it'll cost a good K+ to get those 3 done. Or I could just spend about $700 and get new rims. Which shoudl I do????

So basically...visual completion...or performance overhaul?

Id have to say the power mods, because I know what they do to the car, BUT to say its only going to cost about 1k bucks, well, bad news. The gears all said and done with a tune is about, hmm, 150 for gears 200 install, 400 for tune (xcal 2) and cams are about 600 without installation costs, so your looking at almost 1500 bucks. BUT, you will have a completely different car, thats for sure.

As much as I want to say MORE POWER I have to say your car's stock rims are fugly and it needs to be lowered badly. If it came with bullets i'd definitely say power but if you want to be "MT's Coolest Looking Stang" Coordinator you might as have some style for yourself. Rims and lower that beast.

You definately have to get some springs. I think you should get the performance mods. Once you hear those cams you will forget all about the rims.

I would get either thr ims, or the X-Cal 2. Why? Well, rims are soo basic and look soo great. The XCal2 you are gonna need with your power plans no matter what and you can always sell both if things don't work out and you change your mind. Cams are permanent and so are gears. If money gets tight, there is no turning back.

BTW, dont spend to much on rims. You can always get a nice ste for $500 which leaves you with more money to spend on other stuff.

your wheels do suck.. but I'd still go with performance, because when you're going fast who's going to notice the wheels... RIGHT??

Cams, gears, tune is more than just K+, like 2.5K GIve or take. You'll need extra mods. Rims = Cheaper

I'm feelin the performance mods....but you are def going to spend a lot more in that than rims....but you also have to look at getting tires for your new rims. 18" and up tires get pricey...also if your considering going deep dish in the back...those tires are going to get a little expensive too...

It's up to you..but if your trying to stay around a grand.....i'd go with rims

and I wont need new tires. And I just found out in my other thread how much a full cam install costs so I'm thinkin I'm gonna go with rims for now, and like blake said, possibly a chip. Rims are definite though...I've made my decision

Get rims, preferably chrome. I suggest 18" deep dish black bullitt's or 18" chrome 03/04 Cobra's.
