Awesome review. The numbers were a lot closer than I would have expected.

 

Very close, enough that I'd call it a win for the Mustang. The M3 is going to be the more luxurious ride though, and the price difference makes it for a little bit different audience.

 

Well for the price difference, imagine the mods you could do to the mustang.

But thats not part of the test, its just one on one.

 

Finally

 

Now I want to see the 2012 Boss go up against it. The base GT is just that... base. I think it'd be more appropriate to compare it to a 330i. The Boss will have the firmer dampers and springs and will completely chew the M3's ****. Just sayin, it's not exactly apples-apples.

Price wise they should have gone M3 vs GT500 but the snake would have smoked it

This makes me proud every time I drive by the BMW plant on the highway to work/home
