Default Radar detector

I was looking around at these and I was wondering what brand of detector would be the best to go with. I want one that will actually tell me if there is a cop near by and not go off for no reason. I want one that will actually work. I drive on the interstate a lot and with my luck I would get pulled over for trying to pass an eighteen-wheeler. I don't want to spend like four hundred dollars but I want a good one that I know will work. Any suggestions guys? Thanks in advance.

Agreed. I've heard nothing but good things about the V1's. You definitely get what you pay for and they keep you current with the law enforcement technology.

You want a radar detector just for passing semis? Come on, now. I highly doubt that.

How about just not speeding? If the speed limit is 70 on the interstate and he's going 70, why would you need to pass him unless you just don't wanna be near him? Even still, not like you have to get up to 110 to do it.

Also, if you want a good one, you're going to have to pay for it.

I have had a few different ones and the V1 is the best hands down. I won't have another brand ever again.

V1 hands down but not speeding I have found out is way cheaper. After my first 5 tickets in 2 years I luckly havn't had one in 2 1/2 years.

I was just lucky enough to not get caught. It would be nice to have one to get home from college faster though... driving over 2 hours sucks

2 hours lolz, from Orlando,Fl to the Keys where I'm from is over 5 hours. With radar detector I do it in around 4. Well worth the money for the V1 after just one drive down and back.
