You bought a $450 radar detector? Have you ever tried just going the speed limit?

Wow...

DUDE you should have bought the one in the classifieds!! you get the 8500 x50 AND the equipment to hardwire the radar detector all for $200 shipped. You just missed out on a hell of a deal if you already bought that other one of the internet

and yeah i have the 9500i its nice with a lot nice features since its GPS compatible. Just remember radar detectors don't make you invincible and if your going way over the speed limit the cop will have your speed by the time the radar registers. If you have to speed you should really keep it 5-10 over because going 15+ or double the speed limit its just a matter of time before you kill someone

i never said i looked like a "badass" and its not like im going fast 24/7. theirs no reason to go 100mph out of nowhere, i dont plan on going 100mph any time soon. my mustang has been sitting in the garage the past few weeks and will be sitting there next few months till its done.

damn just saw the price yeah thats crazy almost $460 I don't think its worth that much haha Im glad i didn't pay retail damn. I would return it and take the deal thats in the classifieds before he puts it on ebay. I wouldn't spend more than 250 on one of those

I'm still going to laugh when you get pulled over with the radar detector and get your like 3rd or 4th wreckless driving ticket. I bet that radar will come in real handy when your license is gone.

Dude what are you thinking? Im satisfied with my 40 dollar detector. I wouldn't even spend over 100 bucks on something that is not that reliable.. Just cause you have and expensive detector dosent mean that your invisiable. Nine times out of ten a cop can tell if your speeding with or without a radar. They do this by visually observing your speed from one point to another. They just use radar to confirm, to so proof when they write you a ticket. I agree with everyone else just slow your butt down. LOL. N E way here is a link for you to check out. A retired cop gives his advice on what to look for in a good detector. Should save that money for future tickets. LOL

I have the older model without gps and it rocks 8500 i think is model..
Found out which bands the cops dont use locally and just turned em off.
Now when it goes off 99.9% of the time its a real alert not just false alarm.

I heard the v1 has mega mega false alarms.

Do you really need a antenna facing backwords when your going 100 miles per hour(mirrors work)? Things i like about v1 is its upgradeable and the radar counter.. I just turn off my false alarms and im golden they only use ka and laser here k is a false alarm.

Make sure your possitive on what they run before you turn off bands though. Or just deal with the false alarms... Every radar detector is going to have false alarms just some filter them better....some scream them longer with antenna facing backwords.

All in all killer detector imo and gps is a nice add on. Dont know if yours comes with remote light and mute for the cigarrete plug in but i love that piece. mine came with it.

its not the detector you bought no but its model down without gps..

imo valentine1 buyers just read too many car and drive adds:P

V1 came out on top for false alarms in the test yay!!! we won!!

You made a good choice imo i was going to upgrade mine myself but no need really the detection is amazing all i would be gaining is gps but for now unless mine breaks or is stolen i can do without gps.

keep telling yourself that only one antenna is better, meanwhile we V1 users will have our arrows and therefore complete situational awareness in our nice metal cased V1's that actually cost less than your cheaply built escort.

Also what in the hell does GPS have to do with a radar detector?
