You guys can have this cold-*** weather we've been having in Florida, too. Highs in the 50's? What kind of **** is that? It's not supposed to be like this. Then again, I'm just happy we don't get snow. I'd move to the damn Bahamas if that happened!

Yea this ***** getting real old quick. Missouri says its record setting lows and more snow than they've ever had.

**** snow. I could handle a weekend inch or two every so often, but it ******* snows every other day now. AND then its like 20 dergrees for the high everyday so IT NEVER MELTS....then it snows again and just cluster-***** everyone right in the ***.

After school, I'm moving to either Austin or Florida.

I used to hate cold weather and snow(I moved to Ga partially because of cold and snow)

ever since I got my truck, and got this plowing gig...I love snow. I hated it before because I was immobilized by the snow and it made everything harder. Now, My Yoda will go through snow just fine, and snow helps pay my bills.

I have a buddy that goes out whenever it snows and shovels ppl's driveways and walks for $. He made $300 in 3 hours, cash. There are doctors that wish they made that kind of money.

I'd like it if I had a Subie, or a truck. But otherwise it sucks. I can't shovel people's driveways because I don't have a car to get there lol. But I can agree with you Zig, it'd be sweet if it equaled work.

just a thought...you dont need a car to shovel snow... You walk around your neighborhood after a snowfall carrying a snow shovel.

I live in BFE in these apartments. The apartments have a company that does the snow, and the closest house is about a mile away. The rest is all apartments as well, which once again have companies that shovel and salt everything.

I'd love to shovel snow, hell I like physical labor more than sitting in a freaking office all day. But, where I live it blows. Now next year when I get into our house, there will be people all around us. So I'll keep that in mind.

yeah my scenario kind of requires a "neighborhood" setting. Its good money if you are just out on your own doing "paid favors" for people by shoveling their place. I work for a company so I dont make per hour what my buddy makes when he's on lone shovel patrol. I dont like to shovel. If I had my own plow truck...we're talking over a grand per day when there is snow.

Good god. So do you get like a set schedule during the winter? Or is it like a on call type of thing?

Like if it started snowing at midnight are they gonna tell you that you have to get up in the morning? or do they just call at 6 a.m. and are like "SUIT UP!" lol.

Im on call. But...after a 33 hour shift, they know not to call me for at least 24hrs, regardless of snowfall or not. Looks like Ill be plowing this weekend. I should be recovered by then..lol. Fucked up thing is...I was awake for 48 hours, and once I went to sleep I only slept for 7 hours. ******* Redbull. **** works.

next year I plan to buy a dedicated plow truck and a nice Boss V Plow for it.

Man, I don't know how some of you deal with the weather. I guess you just get used to it. I've lived in Cali all my life so I have no concept of what real winters are like. I live about 3 1/2 hours from Tahoe, that's about as close as I want to get it. Hang in there, hopefully it will be over soon.

It's going to be 70 and sunny today sorry couldn't help it.

Here in the southeast we are used to cold winters, But Normally we get a few days break in between. Sometimes in the 60's and even 70's. But this winter has been a fcking bear to us. It hasn't reached 50 but maybe once since late Nov or early dec. We just need 1 or 2 days to thaw out. Then the next cold spell ain't so harsh.

Forecast for here is maybe 50 for a few days. We will be glad to have that heat wave vs the low 40's and mid to high 30's we've seen the last 2 months.. I need to go out with out looking like the michelin man to stay warm..

damn i wish i had 50's here. then the 2 feet of snow would MELT.

were forcasted to get snow almost all of next week (big surprise), on top of the gigantic mountain of snow we still have from a week ago, which hasn't melted a drop because the temperature won't exceed 30 degrees. were getting northern USA weather, like wisconsin, michigan, minnesota, ECT. **** this weather.
