fact of the matter for all of you arguing bitches is that amendments 1 and 3-27 are guaranteed only by the precense of amendment 2.
Steeda, you let either your fear of the dangers of real life or your lack of historical understanding determine your views of what should be legal instead of your desire to not be tossed in a federal re-education camp when they decide they don't like your religion. Consider this, in 1776 a smoothbore musket was a MILITARY GRADE WEAPON. The only way to stop a rogue government backed by the military it commands is to engage them both with weapons and tactics that are sufficient to destroy them entirely or sap their will to oppress the rights of the people. Yeah, I need my M16 and my AK47 and my Thompson (a2) and my 37mm grenade launcher so that when they toss your *** in the "camp" I'll be the one to liberate you and the rest of those too fearful to consider your freedom as a personal possession worthy of fighting and dying for.
If guns kill people, mine are broken (Senator Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than all of my non-CMP guns combined). If guns cause crime, all 160-ish of mine are totally ******* defective.

BTW... everything is going to be ok? Are you ******* nuts? Ever hear of the Patriot Act? That's taken us closer to civil war than anything else in about the last 150 years. Our government tortures, kidnaps, murders, steals, etc... and not just in foreign lands and you think everything is ok? Wowzors... No person should fear their goverment will take from them what they have earned ahem *cough income taxes* if the government can't support itself on the money that it has or can get in a legal fashion then it needs to be smaller (common sense)
If people in the government think it is a good idea to ban assault weapons under the guise of protecting the people from themselves I think that's a very good reason to buy assault weapons cause the government won't protect you from itself.
