That's pretty sweet. I wonder how it does during high winds though.

That looks cool but I would be a little nervous to drive under it.

They're all over here too. Mostly at storage areas.

Seems less efficient energy wise than a simple sliding gate...?

Reminds me of those blocks in Super Mario that go up slow but as soon as you run under they come flying down.

I'd think it'd be a hell of a lot easier on the motor to just do it the traditional way. I'd hate to be the owner of the car that it decides to break down on. Both literally and figuratively.

They have these at storage areas in my town.
There is a big counter weight on the right side that makes the gate balanced, so it kinda floats
and there isn't much weight put on the motor that lifts the gate.
Even if it did fall on a car, it wouldn't be too heavy, just enough to **** you off.

It would leave a dent, I wanted to kill this guy who dented my car while I was at work. Instead of killing him I got him arrested for public intoxication, fighting with 6 other guys and slapped on a criminal trespass since the first two only give him 24hrs detention

sorry.. not trying to thread jack, being reminded of my dent set me off..

that gate looks pretty nifty, kinda like putting lambo doors on a car though.. whats the point? everyone has em now and they aren't hard to get anymore
