In general i dont like the police. Ive seen them royally dick over too many people to think all that highly of them.

I know not all cops are bad, but there are enough of them who abuse thier powers to really tarnish the reputation of the ones with integrity.

When mi wifes car was broken into and her ipod was stolen, they took a report and pretty mmuch said "too bad so sad"

When my wifes rear window was smashed in the cops took a report and pretty much said "Sucks to be you"

When my friend Jeff decided to walk home 4 blocks from the bar rather than drive cause he had a few drinks and was trying to be responsible, and the police stop him 100 feet from his apartment door and haul him down to Detox half way across town where he has to pay $400 to get out, that doesent help either. You know what he learned? That if he drove home he would have been through that intersection 5 minutes earlier and would have saved 400 bucks.

I know the cops are out there doing good things. I know they are busting drug dealers and child molesters and stuff.

that doesent change the fact that just about everytime myself or one of my friends has an encounter with a cop it ends up feeling more like harassment and apathy than concern for the citizens they are charged to protect.

I know if somebody came after me with a knife they would do everything they could to stop the attacker, but that is just cause he is doing something wrong, i dont think thier motivation would be to protect me, but to stop the attacker. if that makes any sence.

Cops DO have to be on the alert at all times, they DO have to controll the situation at all times, that i fully understand. However, there is a definate line between having a presence of command, and being a ******* *******.

And when you get stuck with the *******, there aint a god damn thing of recourse you can possibly do other than be thier bitch.

The lack of accountability, that is what i dont like.

When I say I hate cops, there are some exceptions. But Ive been pulled over and accused of being a drug dealer apparently some people said I was, and that I was driving a suspicious car that was used in a drive by shooting, then the cop searched my car and my friends taco bell. And all I was doing was dropping a buddy off after work. And thats just one story of being hard time by the police. HOWEVER I do retract my statement, I dont hate all cops, cause I have met some pretty down to earth cops, but not as many as I have ******** cops. I also have two friends that are fresh out of the academy, and they didnt go in with the "Ima protect and serve" mentality....it was more the "I just want a steady job and career" mindset. Now I know thats just two people....but c'mon. And I do see cops breaking the law as well while on duty, which is ridiculous. But whatever I guess.

Think the dude felt it? He seemed to have taken a big slam to the ground. Probably didn't, so I'd consider it like the cops doing the guy a favor and not beating him when he's conscious. hehe

That was totally insane. Did the offender try to run over the cop? No apparently he didn't even see him. Was he breaking the law? Yes. he was in a pursuit from the law. Should he have stopped after he realized he hit a cop? Yes, but he should have stopped for whatever infraction started the whole thing. Should the cops have beat hime after what happened as the end result? No, he could have been dead, but they didn't care. They beat on him only if for a few seconds. This is a 50/50 debate on exceptable behavior and brutality. I for one think a cop that has to chase you when your running, and risking innocent lives, has the right to beat your ***. But not if your thrown after flipping your vehicle, and laying dormant in a ditch.

Like I said this is a good case of "ethical behavior". And what is pushing the boundries of law enforcement.. It will vary greatly from human to human even if they are cops.. Part of me says it was wrong, but part of me said he got what he deserved..

Does anyone notice the date on the cops camera during the pursuit is 1/23/2008. I wonder if this is just now being leaked or if the camera date is messed up.

The beating was grossly uncalled for. He should have been restrained and then fucked by the law. Using force to subdue a suspect is just, but letting emotions control your actions is unjust. The officers deserve to be fired because people like that shouldn't be on the force, to make a mistake like that is a big liability. Almost every cop that I've been in a situation with has been cool, but probabll because I'll be super respectful and cool with the officer, because I probably fucked up in someway to get myself into that situation. That guy put himself in that situation, but it was mishandled by the officers.

I can't imagine the situation that justified this behavior....that is because there isn't any.
