he didnt TRY to run over that cop... he was dodging the car in the right lane and swerved as the cop was throwing down the spike strips.

That is nothing new, and if it had been me I don't know that I would have acted any differently. They're already hopped up on adrenaline after chasing this moron for an hour on top of the fact that they just saw him hit a fellow officer.. What did they expect? They would hand cuff the guy and give him an ice cream cone?

I do agree though, that they should have waited until he was awake and then beat the living **** out of him.. What kind of message are you going to send to the guy beating the crap out of him while he's out?

 

that is police brutality... hands down. each cop that hit him should not only be fired, but put in prison... and while in there...get what they deserve. and yes, I hold police to a higher standard than a civilian.

 

Anyone that agree's with that right there is just a cold hearted. That pisse's me off so bad just watching that video. He was knocked out and they just started beating the **** out of him. That is just unbelievable to me.

 

I definitely counted more than 5 little piggies that should be fired...more like 7 or 8 or however many threw a punch at him.

 

Yeah it sure sucks that the officer got clipped, he got lucky that he didn't get a direct on hit, but hey thats his job he knew the risks when he decided to be a cop. I like how in the act the cop goes to turn the video tape off to try and cover their ***.

 

Haha yeah they definitely have handled the situation better. Regardless of what happened it's not their place to punish the guy who was lucky to survive that roll in the first place.

 

Who cares, he almost killed him anyway. He was speeding like a mother ******. He put a ton of people lives in danger.

Cops are not above the law. They are there to enforce it. They have to obide by it like everyone else. Yes it sucks he could've killed someone, but for 5 or more cops to have to beat on a guy who is clearly unconcious is pretty pathetic. If you accidently run a stop light and almost hit someone, does that give the cop right to pull you out of the car and beat the **** out of you cause you "could" have killed someone?

 

The guy is scumb there is no doubt about that, he did deserve an *** beating, but not when he was knocked the **** out.

 

First of all, this guy could have potentially killed or injured a number of people in the course of an hour. And its not like he was driving safely running from those cops, and he wasnt running cause he ran a red light either. He obviously fucked up real good, and decided he'd rather run from the cops than accept the concequences. For anyone to take up for that douche is just ridiculous. Id have beat his *** concious or not. At most they should just put those cops on suspension with pay. Thats my opinion, and I dont even like cops.

 

I don't like cops either, and in my opinion they just like to throw their badges around for the most part. That said, they should have just shot him. I am all for the eye-for-an-eye mentallity. I lived in Turkey for three years, and was sent all over the middle east when I was in the millitary, and the crime rate although not non-existant, is low. If we had a chop-chop square, I imagine our crime rate would be low too. We could also get a little out of debt . . .

he may have, but it wasn't the cops place to beat the **** out of him while he was clearly unconcius and unable to move. if he was resisting arrest and fighting the cops, then it would have been neccessary. but since he was out. this was out and out police brutality.

 

5 people beating a man laying in a ditch is a bit much. The shitball def. deserved something outta the deal tho. Dodging in and out of traffic.. clipping a human, god knows what else.....

Everyone is quick to throw a cop under the bus when something goes down. Cops are mean. Cops are bad people that abuse their badge... blah blah blah. Guess what? Cops are everyday people just like you guys. They have a job to do to support their families, to make a living, to pay the bills. Its not fun leaving the house to go to work not knowing if your going to come home to your loved ones or not. First traffic stop of the shift could very well be your last breath of air. Dont know if you cop haters have a justified reason to hate or not, but cops are people too. There are a few out there that get on a power trip....but it gets em' in the end. If you think im biased, thats not the case either. Ive had tickets, been arrested, been questioned, all that happy stuff. If I was doing right then it wouldnt have happened. What I got in trouble for was nobodys fault but my own. Sorry it just seems like people are always out to get your job. Maybe if someone followed you around your job just waiting for the least little thing to get you fired or put on suspension, you would have a different outlook on things.

Again, not saying that 5 guys beating one man is right, cause its not. But to hate cops in general is stupid.

I agree they should be fired, i also think they should be charged and imprisoned. That right there want right.

They all let thier emotions take control, a cop should NEVER let thier emotions take control. They SHOULD be held to a higher standard due to the authority we grant them.

If they cant do thier job without letting thier emotions cause them to beat the tar out of an unconcious person they have no business being cops.

 

Wether he derserved it or not it's not the cops place to decide that, this is why we have a court system.

 

Not liking cops as a group shows a great deal of ignorance. In general they are good people and they are out there to make your life safer.

Got busted speeding
Got busted with drugs
Got busted doing something illegel

I want to make something very clear to you...... You are a moron and need to stop blaming police for your inability to follow simple rules

From a medical perspective that guy was not wearing a seat belt and in an accident like that he could have very easily fractured his neck...... those cops could have all very easily been looking at murder

 

If he had'nt been just thrown from a vehicle and knocked the fock out I could see beating his *** like they did but he could have been dead for all they knew and they still beat the **** out of him.To me thats just wrong.

 

Oh yeah if he got up and ran I would be more than happy to see them run him down and give him a little tune up but the dude was KO'ed. As much as no one would want to they should have just stood around and waited for the EMTs

Jesus....that got out of hand fast. This reminds me of the cop that is on trial here in the Bay Area for shooting a guy that was hand cuffed and laying on his stomach. Props to the Mayor for acting fast.

 

I agree with you, but the beating was uncalled for. I respect cops and don't hate them. I do believe there are some out there that think they are above the law. They have the job of enforcing the law and protecting people, but at the same time, they have to follow the law as well. I see cops all the time going over 75mph on the freeway and talking on their cell phones. You can't enforce the law when you aren't going to follow it either.

 

Kind of like spiders. I dont much care for them, but i do appreciate them and respect them cause i know we need them.

what they did was COMPLETLEY wrong but i'm with slim on the cop bias that a lot of people have....i hate when people only remember the one thing that a few jackasses do rather than the thousands of amazing things that cops do everyday to help protect the greater good of the community.
