I thought that Pontiac was one of their most popular brands. I guess it was generating much net income.

good riddance. Nothing good out of them since the late 60's. GM should drop 60% of its brands and roll them all back in to Chebbie. There's no sense in making the same car with 3 different names. Ford could easily drop Mercury too.

Good, they ******* suck anyway.

The G8 wasn't even Pontiac's car, it's a damn Holden, and will probably just get absorbed into the chevy lineup

This news actually makes me pretty glad that I don't have my GTO anymore. If I did, my dad would make me park it in the garage and I'd never be allowed to drive my own car that I was paying for.

Hummer should have been shut down months, hell probably years ago..

Saturn is (probably) going to be bought by Fiat. The last thing I saw about Fiat buying Chrysler said that deal was going sour and they were going to look heavily into Saturn.

GMC should be next to go. No company needs two lines of the same vehicles. If it was my company it would be Chevy & Cadillac. That's it.

Actually the two lines makes sense. Why create two totally different cars when you can use the same base set-up to make two totally different looking cars. Like the Milan and the Fusion. They are almost identical but look totally different in the same.

Hummer will never survive.
Saturn doesn't make jack **** that is worth buying.
Buick still sucks ***.

GM should've kept Pontiac and keep Cadillac, Chevy and GMC. But, let GMC or Chevy take over the majority of trucks and leave the other to make cars.

It'll be sad to see the modern shoot-outs without the GTO or Trans-Am.

I'm gonna miss the little Solstice too...

i agree with what's been said about GMC. they really need to re-structure the product offering because GMC puts out the same vehicles that some of their other brands do. it does them no good in competing with themselves.

GM only makes the civilian version, which I don't even think the H1 is still even made anymore. Plus, the H2 is based on GM's SUV platform (Tahoe) and the H3 is a rebodied Colorado. The military version is made by AM General.

They did ask for more money. The reason they are doing this is because they have to restructure and get approved by the government to get more money. Even though they make shitty cars, I think Saturn actually made profits last year.

I won't really miss any of the cars that will be going away but 20,000 jobs going down the tube isn't going to help the economy any

saturn has a chance of getting purchased by someone but we will see how that goes I don't know if anybody is looking to pick up an automanufactuer right now even at a discount.

They could rename it bargain bin automotive
