Default for those who really like rock

you guys may like this band called Halestorm. The lead singer/rhythm is a female. I was astounded how well her voice was when she sang with heavier rock (its not heavy, but its still pretty raw for a female singer). i saw them live twice because they were the opening band for Shinedown and Saving Abel. They were great live. the band sounds just as good live as they do on their album (which isnt available yet, april 28 or somehting).

Shed Some Light - Shine Down ft. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm
first lil box, just push play

check them out. just thought it was cool to hear a chick in a male dominated genre

that had to be the goofiest band/music videos i have ever seen

My "chick lead singer band" is Arch Enemy, Paramore and Evanescence have had some alright songs but im more of a metal fan than pop rock... However Hayley Williams from paramore is WAY hotter than the lead singer of Arch Enemy

Cause metal is the ****... haha.

If you guys like Arch Enemy check out Light This City. Only 2 metal bands with chick vocalist worth listening to IMO.

I've never been a fan of the growling and heavy death metal or math metal or whatever kind metal that involves growling that i can't understand....but a friend showed me this video a few weeks ago and I liked it. This girl sounds really crazy in it but the video is amazing i think! Cool song...cool vid...check it out!

Can't stand chicks singing rock...I'm not sexist by any means, but I have yet to find a band with a woman on vocals that I enjoy. There's a few songs here and there that fit, but overall I just don't think women were meant for rock music. With that said...goin to see Hed PE tomorrow night. Hope I survive haha

I agree 100%. I like metal and bands that scream and whatnot, but they have to have a good scream voice. Examples would be Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Slipknot. Those singers have good all around voices whether its straight singing or screaming.
