Are any of you guys able to get to aol, yahoo, google, cnn or anything like that it seems like all the news sites are ef'ed

is that conflicker worm doing this

i can get there just fine.

besides it being anything on the ISP's network, i have no idea, bar the website server is down.

My girlfriend's brother got his internet shut off for downloading Watchmen. Copyright laws and all that. Turns out, since they didn't have the wireless internet password protected they could claim that anyone could have got on and downloaded it, so the internet provider turned the internet back on.

Back on topic now.

 

They just shut it off first time? I heard that you get 2 warnings and a phone call before they shut it off.

 

Not for him, they just shut the sucker off. They didn't know why the internet was turned off, called the provider, and found out why it got shut off. If it hadn't been for them not having a password to get on the router I don't know what would have happened.
