Down here is awesome Ill probably go cruising down by the beach and grove when stang is done. Just be warned the property down here has risen about 45%. It is very expensive to own a home now, reminds me of New Jersey before I moved down here back in the late 80's.

yeah tell me about it, im a web admin for a real estate and home building company and even the realtors dont like how much the prices have gone up, houses are out of most people's price range. bought my house for $115,000. it's now worth $450,000 - $500,000. in the past year alone prices here have gone up 49%. im only about an hour north of venom.

thanks for the info. I still want to move back down there, if not miami, then Boca Raton(Dead Rat).

I know a couple companies down there that will be looking for someone to network admin for them. Not small companies either. Pay up here is awesome, however i miss down there dearly. One day i will go back.

Must have been humid when you went, rarely ever is it real humid. There is normally a nice breeze and low humidity

your translation is wrong. boca means mouth (or in this case mouth of the intercoastal or inlet) and raton does mean rat but they meant it more like a dirty rat or a theif. boca raton means "theives inlet" because it used to be a hideaway for pirates.

The fact that property values are going up so fast is just the reason why you can't wait to buy a house.

Here in NEPA, we don't have the increases that some areas have, but my house has jumped about $30k this year. Most people can't save $30k a year for a house, so you just end up falling behind.

Buy as soon as you can and don't look back. You can't afford to buy the house tomorrow that you can't afford today (nope, that's not a typo).
