Default covercraft bra. 100$.. opinions and facts.

Okay, im new to bra's but i really need one becuz im sick of all the bugs that consistently get stuck in my front end and i hate scractching them out. on top of that,, my roads are always nasty and stupid people cant drive so they always throw rocks, so i've justified my purchase for these.. is this a no go? i've heard that bra's abrade the surface and scratch the paint,, if not then im gonna order one,, give me your opinions guys! and tell me every fact about it and if its really worth it, or if they have upkeep or anything like that.. THANKS!

I have heard that depending on the quality of your paint job that putting a bra on the car that when it is removed the paint underneith will be a different color cause the sun fades the paint outside the bra, but I guess that depends on the quality of your paint job.

I thought about getting one for my car too cause the rox chipped it all up on the hood too.

+1. I've seen other cheap bras that flap on the the highway and ended up buffing the hood from the constant flapping up and down. It'll protect your car from rocks and bugs yes, but I've never been a fan of them nor do I think it's really worth it personally. It's all a preference though.

I have a LeBra on my '93. I put it on there because the paint was peeling really bad on the front bumper and grille. I wish I wouldn't have done it. I'd like to take it off the car, but I can't because it looks even worse because of the bra than it did before.

It will definitely fade your paint. Now, my car is white everywhere else, but it is like an almond/yellowish color now underneath the bra, and still has its factory paint. Things will get caught underneath the bra, between the paint surface and the bra itself. It will scratch your car.

You'll have to take the bra off every time you wash your car, which is a pain in the ***. You'll have to wash both the inside and the outside of the bra with soapy water each time. Then you'll have to put the bra back on the car, which is another pain in the ***.

The only plus side is that the car looks better with the bra. Everything else about the bra ******* sucks, to put it bluntly.

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS EVIL, DON'T DO IT.

Good. You'd be making a huge damn mistake if you got one.

The only advice I can give you to keep the bugs off the front is to regularly wash it and wax it. The wax will keep the bugs from embedding into the paint. As soon as you notice a considerable amount of bugs on the front, or just an amount that bothers you, wash them off.

good decission, i put one on my car for a short time to cover a bad spot in the paint, and ended up hating it. Thankfully I no longer need it

It doesn't matter if you're not leaving it on for good. It will screw up your paint. Take it off and just let the car be, or it will be even worse after you take the bra off.

yeah like they said just keep it washed and waxed real good in the front. I prolly wax the front end, roof, and trunk like 3 times for every one time for the whole car. and when the bugs get real bad i clay bar it.. works for me
