Default I need some help guys

My wife lost the only key that we had to her 02 mountaineer so I need to get it replaced and I have never had to do that before. We bought it used so I have no idea where the car originally came from. Is it possible to have a lock smith come out and make a key on the spot or can I go to any ford/mercury dealership with the title and vin# to have a new key made

Thanks in advance guys

because the keys have chips in them you will have to spend like the $200 to get a new one made from the stealership. but i honestly don't know how you would do it, i guess go up there (if close) or call to see... and have your information ready

Like he said call the dealership, I'm sure they can answer that for you... ... and SxyXc, 'stealorship' , haha.

They are going to replace the ignition and give you keys with a different chip in them.

Cost is like $145.
