so, i got a minor consumption over christmas break. i drove home for my court date and the cop never filed the incident so they said i could leave. now, they send another letter to my house saying i need to appear in court again.

is there any way out of this since i already did my part and showed up the first time?

If you've got a lawyer.. use him/her. I haven't seen too many people win MIP cases without lawyers.

 

I'd call the courthouse you have to go to and ask them.

 

contact a lawyer but i am prity sure that they have to file charges with in 72hours
