It's been so long since I've played I couldn't even give any advice on the subject anymore. I've got a 14" J&J barrel on my 98custom. The one you listed looks fine to me.

was the gun much more accurate with the j&j barral over the 8 or 6 inch one it comes with?

i might go with the J&J one becouse its like 50 bucks cheeper if its more accurate.

mine was sooooo much more acurate. i was amazed how many more time i was able to hit my target. if you have the cash, check out the flatline barrel. i havent used it on an a5 but i have on a 98custom and it really improved the accuracy and length of the shot.

Oh, and the j and J was a hell of a lot quieter too

since it's a smooth bore firing a round projectile which lacks any sort of gyroscopic stabilization, they'll always be fairly inaccurate and that lack of repeatable accuracy will increase with your distance from the target.

true to what r3d said. but with a longer barrel, you reduce the chance of the ball curving different directions. you wont hit the target in the same spot, but you with hit it in the general area

The flatline barrel is one of a most accurate ones I have ever seen. A friend had on on his 98Cutom and could repeatidly hit a telephone pole from accross a football field. It puts spin on the ball and just make that sucker fly.

when you guys play and you shot alot really fast with your A-5 does yours skip a shot?

like you will be shoting and then it will fire a few times but nothing comes out, untill you push that pin near the loader in again then it will shot the ***** again.

does this happen to you?

yea it happens when your co2 is getting low. since the cyclone feed operates off of the tank as well, as less pressure is available, the feed wont spin.

what size tanks are you using. i use 20 oz and that usually lasts a case of 1500.

compressed air is much better to use than co2, the air will not freeze up the gun when fired repeatedly like co2 will. ive been caught in the middle of a game many times without a firing weapon due to the co2 freezing.Thats when you open your hopper and start throwing *****

Gotta carry a sling-shot in your back pocket lol. I had one of thoes expansion chamber things on my 98 so I never experienced the freezing, maybe just a drop in pressure.
