which would you rather have??
a Honda s2000 with a 2jz-gte (supra TT engine)
a Nissan 350z with an LSx
or
a Mazda rx7 with an LSx
i like the 350z with LSx but the s2000 would be a freaking gokart with the 2zj

Hard choice for me between the S2000 and the rx7. I would like the S2000 because the 2jz-gte would keep more weight off the nose of the car compared to the rx7, but it's minimal and S2000 os already back-end happy. I picked the rx7 becuase I assume that it is an n/a LSX and would be able to produce just as much hp as the tt engine, but more linear and more low-end torque. I did not really consider the 350Z much becuase it is already piggish, weighing as much as a mustang as stock. RX-7s dominate Street Modified in SCCA SoloII, which is the class I run in so I might be somwhat partial.

All three would be *****-out quick, not so much the 350 as the other two but still quick. Thats kind of why I focused more on weight dist. and handeling char.. Are we to asume the all the engines make the same peak HP and TQ?

yea, assuming they make around the same numbers as a stock ls1 (corvette model so its 350)
01FR500, the 350 is about 100 lbs lighter and 40 more horsepower along with a better suspension and slight better weight distribution. i drove my friends and it feels about 500lbs light. just likes to turn. (not calling you out...just putting personal experience)

Now why would you do that to an nsx? its like taking a viper and putting a mustang engine in it.
cause i dont know of anyone who makes a kit for a modular engine swap...beside, the modular engine is enormous due to the over head cams. thats the beauty of the LSx motors, theyre still pushrods.

I don't know if it's at all possible. Had a long discussion one day with my friend and his dad about doing a swap. But it would be the ultimate sleeper...if we could keep it quiet.
