Depends on how you look at it, if it was a:
10 second 1980's Mustang with no paint and gutted interior vs:
13/14 second 2000+ Mustang with good body condition and some minor cosmetics
I'd take the latter.
BUT if it was :
10 second 2000+ Mustang with stock cosmetics but in good condition vs:
14 second 2000+ mustang with 5,000$ in cosmetic stuff
I'd take the first.

i like go more than show...
its great to have a great looking car...but id rather get laughed at at the stoplight.....until it turns green....
im thinking bout getting a 5.0 then supercharging that instead of getting a 04 v6..lol

Both for me; the Mach1 is for speed, but still looks good, and the GT for now has more appearance mods than performance, its my DD. And I definitely end up spending way too much money on both, talk about going broke, mod 2 cars at the same time.

There has to be a balance.
I have definatly spend more on performance than visual, but you gotta have a nice lookin ride. I diddnt want it to look like every mustang i pass on the street.
if i had to choose though, yah, i';d rather have something mean and ugly than sweet and pretty.
